ROBERT BLEY-VROMAN, dance caller and pianist, plays and calls for the regular O'ahu contra dances. He has performed throughout the Southwest, and in New England, as well as Hawai'i. He is co-editor of the New England Fiddler's Repertoire, a best-selling standard collection of traditional dance tunes. Robert is a professor at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
ABBY BROWN, flute, plays at contra dances in Hawaii and studies flute privately. She is a professor at TransPacific Hawaii College. In her spare time she is an acrobat and has performed at local charity events, with the Hawai'i Opera Theater, and in educational and commercial TV programs.
JEFF KLEIN has been playing mandolin, banjo and guitar at contra dances in Hawai'i for the past twelve years. He also loves playing bluegrass music and listening to almost any music made on acoustic stringed instruments. He works for the Air Force as an Environmental Restoration Project Manager.
AUDREY KNUTH, fiddle, is a freshman at Hawaii Pacific Univeristy. Audrey was the 2005 Southern Maryland Scottish Fiddle Champion. In addition to playing for dances with Whiskey Starship, she performs with Celtic Waves, and Kilts on the Beach with Lisa Gomes. In her limited spare time, she dances with "Jig This" school of Irish dance. Audrey plans to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston this January.
DENNIS SUYEOKA, mandocello, plays mandolin, mandola, mandocello, and tenor banjo with several Honolulu bands. He owns and operates the Coffeeline Campus Coffeehouse, the only coffeehouse recommended in the Lonely Planet Rough Guide to Hawai'i.
